Trinh and her siblings immigrated to the United States with their parents many years ago. Her father, a licensed architect and real estate investor in Vietnam, and her mother, a business owner, arrived with neither English proficiency nor financial resources. To provide a better future for their five young children, they took on any job available. Her father transitioned from architecture to working as a custodian in a Seattle public school, while her mother became a nurse’s aide in a nursing home. Despite the hardships, they always spoke highly of America as a land of freedom and opportunity.

Trinh earned her Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Washington. Her first internship was with King County's Pavement Management System (PMS) department, where she conducted pavement inspections and managed the PMS database, which ignited her passion for A&E career path. She later earned a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Norwich University. Trinh's journey is a testament to the resilience and determination instilled in her by her parents.

With over 18 years of experience, Trinh has had the opportunity to work across a wide range of civil engineering areas, including the design of runways, taxiways, streets, parking lots, ADA-compliant curb ramps, transit systems, stormwater management, potable water and sanitary sewer systems. While her primary focus has been on public works and federal projects, she also has experience in commercial and residential development. In addition, Trinh has collaborated closely with contractors, providing construction support, inspections, and project bidding services.
